Nestled upon the heights along the Potomac River, Arlington House serves as a sentinel over our Nation’s Capital. Established as a residential shrine to the Father of our Country, George Washington, Arlington was an estate destined to become Arlington National Cemetery. Learn more of the history and transformation of this lovely Virginia home and its selection to serve as the final resting place for those who answered their nation’s call to duty.

This event will take place at 2:30 PM on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Second Street Presbyterian Church at 325 South Second Street in Albemarle, North Carolina.

This event is free and open to the public! Pre-registration is requested. Please call the Stanly County History Center at 704-986-3777 OR go to http://historicstanly.org and select the “Event Registration” tab. Be sure to click SUBMIT to complete the online registration.
